The annual Colorado Craft Brewers Summit, hosted by the Colorado Brewers Guild, is being hosted between 23rd - 24th January, offering an opportunity for two days of collaboration, education, and inspiration. This gathering brings together independent brewers, allied trade partners, and innovators across the beer ecosystem to accelerate sustainable beer production across the globe. Driven by sustainability and the importance of efficiency and adaptability in a competitive market, a critical focus is creating shared solutions that support brewers from grain to glass.
Climate Smart Barley Project
Sustainable systems that support both farmers and brewers are crucial for building resilient supply chains across the brewing industry. Luke Richards, Head of Product & Business Development (Americas), will be attending the summit, sharing insights from the Climate Smart Barley project. This collaboration between Downforce Technologies, Root Shoot Malting, Olander Farms and New Belgium Brewing is the first in Colorado to demonstrate a climate-smart barley supply chain that meets international greenhouse gas standards. Providing unique insights, this project indicates a replicable model that is designed to not only build sustainability credentials but also establish supply chain resilience and premium beer for the consumer.
